Any of you coaches out there coaching at a small school or have at one time? With a lot of 2 way players sometimes you’ve got to be basic. Nicholas Bandstra, Defensive Coordinator, Elgin High School in Marion, Ohio is in that situation now. He is a young coach who is eager to learn and is already making adjustments to his defense. Elgin had not had a winning season since 2005 and in 2016 went 0-10. In 2017 Bandstra switched to the 4-4 Cover 3 and went 7-3. Quite a turnaround and although there were several factors for the improvement, the switch to the 4-4 was a big part. Click here to see the video.
