Broomfield HS

How do you feel about the Rugby punt? If you have a guy that can execute it, it’s a sound philosophy. Do you have that guy? Can you train that guy?  Well, if you’re on the fence or are ready to explore this punt, this is a great presentation to study. Chris Summers, the special teams coordinator at Broomfield HS in Colorado went to this 2-Way Rugby Punt system in 2017 and is excited about the results they’ve had. In this video Summers covers why they changed to the Rugby punt, Special Teams Philosophy, Punt Team Philosophy, Weekly Schedule, Thursday Pre Game Script, Game Night, Line Rules, Receiver Rules, UP Back Rules, Punter Rules, Diagrams, Stats, and Game Film. That’s the total package and you’ll get everything you need. Make sure you’re logging on to Chiefpigskin on a regular basis to keep up with all that’s going on. And don’t forget, we will be hitting the road once again when the season is over and we’ll be adding MORE content from coaches you want to hear from.             DBLITY

Willie Mays in Center

This year’s World Series between the Astros and Phillies will likely be the 1st without an African American since 1950. Say what? That’s hard to believe. I grew up in the late 50s, and 60s watching guys like Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, Frank Robinson, Billy Williams, Bob Gibson, Fergie Jenkins, Lou Brock, Willie McCovey, Willie Stargell, Curt Flood…my gosh, this list goes forever. Then it was followed up by such stars as Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr., Dave Winfield, Frank Thomas, Ozzie Smith, Willie McGee, Rickey Henderson, Eddie Murray, Joe Morgan, Reggie Jackson, and Tony Gwynn just to name a few more. So, what the heck happened?…Listen to the podcast.
